As part of my role as Consultant and Investigator for the WSPA Live export Campaign from 2009 to 2011, I spent a great deal of time documenting the conditions animals are subjected to as part of the trade. Below is a video I produced with WSPA regarding the live export trade. The content is from investigations I undertook in livestock markets and abattoirs throughout the Middle East in late 2009.
The video was premiered at Parliament House on March 10, 2010 to a packed auditorium where I also presented and spoke about the investigations and conditions I had documented. Included in the video are interviews with Associate Professor Paul McGreevy, Veterinary Behaviourist Dr Manuela Trueby and Islamic Scholar and Teacher Murshid F.A Ali ElSenossi.
The video was also published in the Daily Telegraph’s online edition and on the WSPA website and YouTube Channel.
